Our Values & Ethos

The stimulating environment of the nursery gives children opportunities to enjoy learning and the innovative and exciting curriculum is a prominent factor in the children’s high level of achievement.

At Bluebell Hill Nursery we promote creativity and give children the opportunities to be imaginative and critical thinkers.

We strive to help children develop confidence and independence and develop a positive attitude to learning.

We provide a happy, caring atmosphere where children feel safe and can develop and learn.

We promote high standards of behaviour and help children to understand of each other’s feelings.

Children learn to care for and respect themselves and others, to be sensitive to the needs and feelings of others and to inequalities associated with race, gender and ability.

We work closely with parents and carers as we believe that the child’s learning and achievement is something we should all be a part of.

Miss Hughes

Director

Having spent the first part of my career in management I soon found that my real passion was in Early Years. I have worked as a childminder, nursery assistant, one to one SEN support and Nursery manager before deciding to open my own setting.

With over 20 years’ experience working within the Early Years sector and having worked in various settings both in Staffordshire and London, I have gained a diverse experience in this important field of early education. I will use this and the knowledge I have from having two of my own children to ensure the nursery meets the needs of each individual child.

At Bluebell Hill Nursery I endeavour to create a setting where children, parents/carers and staff feel happy and safe and to have an environment that is conducive to learning and a positive well-being for all.

Mrs Hill

Manager and SENCO

I have been working with children for over 17 years and have a passion to ensure children have the best possible start in life. By working alongside parents/carers I aim to ensure best outcomes for all children. I am very approachable and will always do my best to assist with any situation.

I have gained experience at several settings during my years working with children including a children centre, a nursery school and private run settings.

I also have one young child of my own.

As manager I believe having a strong and happy team is essential and contributes to creating a positive environment for children to thrive in.

Miss Brown

Miss Brown

Nursery Assistant

I have been working in childcare for over 9 years, and I believe children need a nursery foundation to help them grow, explore and learn. I have worked in private, primary, and nursery school nurseries, from the ages of 0-4 years in my early years journey including a SEN one to one. Also I have been one to volunteer within youth clubs, and teen settings too.

I am a very bubbly and approachable practitioner and will be happy to help and communicate with you, while always putting your child’s needs first. I work closely with other professionals to make sure I am supporting your child in the best possible way. I am a very creative person, and messy play is one of my favourites, not only do children love getting messy, I do too.

I believe children are the future and they should have the best chance to explore and learn. I trust that building on a strong foundation will set you up for success. Let us set the foundation of early years learning for your child.

Miss Gardner

Nursery Assistant

After first doing my work experience in a primary school I realised a career in childcare was what I wanted to pursue, and I have now fulfilled that and have worked in childcare settings for the past 9 years and have two lovely young children of my own.

I am a calm and patient practitioner and believe by setting this in our working environment for the children to thrive and progress on their learning journey with us at Bluebell Hill Nursery. I will continue to always be an approachable practitioner and will always do my best to help and communicate with you and your children and will always put the children's needs first. I am committed to creating a safe, secure and fun environment and will continue to do so within my role, which I do thoroughly enjoy!

Miss Webb

Nursery Assistant

After having my daughter I realised I wanted to pursue a career working with children.

Once qualified I worked as a Nursery Practitioner at the private nursery my daughter attended.

During the past 13 years I have had the opportunity not only to work in a nursery setting but also in a primary school.I have had multiple roles including dinner lady, out of hours club, teaching assistant and 1:1 SEN support.

Working with the different age ranges helped me to realise my passion is to work with the Early Years and SEN children.

Here at Bluebell Hill Nursery as a member of the team, I will endeavour to create a fun, exciting and safe environment.

We all have a fantastic time doing this and the children learn and thrive giving them confidence to continue their learning journey.

Miss Whitehouse

Throughout my career, I have consistently demonstrated a strong passion for working with children and a natural inclination towards early childhood education. My four years of experience in various settings, including mainstream schools, private nurseries, and Bluebell Hill Nursery, have provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the field.

As an approachable and dedicated practitioner, I am committed to meeting the individual needs and interests of each child while maintaining a fun and safe learning environment. I collaborate closely with other professionals to ensure that children receive the appropriate support and guidance to thrive and develop new skills.

At Bluebell Hill Nursery, I am committed to creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and gain the confidence they need for their ongoing educational journey.

OUR NURSERY

Bluebell Hill Nursery is a warm welcoming setting which strives to provide the best outcomes for all that attend, we provide a safe and stimulating environment for all children to learn and develop as well as being a support network for parent/carers.

Our environment incorporates all areas of the EYFS through play-based activities making learning a fun and exciting process. Our activities are adapted to meet individual needs so everyone can take part.

At Bluebell Hill Nursery we don’t believe in following just one method of learning as we feel this can be limiting for some children, therefore we incorporate a variety of learning styles. We find that this is more inclusive and effective.

Our setting has 2 main rooms our first room is for children aged 2-3 years of age this group is called Rabbits and Badgers our second room is for children ages 3-4 years this room is called Deers. Both rooms are set up for the appropriate age and stage of the children and both groups have access to our fantastic outdoor provision during each session where children can continue their development in line with the EYFS.
